HMI - Operation and Visualization

This workbook is designed for theoretical teaching units in the classroom as well as for practical exercises in the laboratory. The learner first acquaints himself with the common terms used in the use of an HMI before getting to know the application areas, products, functionalities and the structure of the user interfaces. He is able to name the development phases of a graphical user interface and learns how this user interface can be systematically designed using ergonomic style guides.

In the practical tasks, the learner plans the hardware as well as basic objects and elements of the HMI in guided step-by-step instructions. A final reflection on each task serves as a knowledge check.

PLC Programming - Device Configuration (for CP-L-LINEAR)

This set of tasks is designed for the configuration of devices in practical lessons. The configuration and the subsequent loading of the device configuration is a prerequisite for program development. This collection of tasks thus complements the workbook on PLC Programming - Fundamentals to Station Operation (for CP-L-LINEAR) with regard to device configuration.

PLC Programming - Fundamentals to Station Operation (for CP-L-LINEAR)

This workbook contains theoretical lessons as well as practical labs. The learner aquires the fundamentals of PLC programming and applies them to developing a simple station operation with multiple operating modes.

PLC Programming for IIoT Systems (for CP-L-LINEAR)

In this workbook the learner deals with the way of thinking in modular program structures. After a commissioning phase, the learner develops simple, library-capable modules. The learner creates error messages and integrates identification systems, such as binary identification or an RFID system. The additional development of a process control for the integration of an MES system extends the simple station operation to a parameterizable and flexible I4.0 system.

Production Planning and Control with MES4

This workbook focuses on the application-oriented transfer of basic knowledge in production planning with the CP Lab / CP Factory using MES4. Another focus are practical methods for system optimization.
On the basis of the CP Lab- / CP Factory-control in the default mode, students learn how to master the control of the system using RFID data. In addition, the workbook treats the fundamentals of production planning and control including tasks and objectives, which are the basis to familiarize students with MES4. Thus, students learn to use MES4 to start orders and create new components and the respective work plans. Finally, the workbook deals with the systematic optimization of the system by using simulation models.

Robot Assembly

In theoretical chapters, this workbook for the CP Factory delivers essential basics about the classification of industrial robots. Students can test this knowledge with a concrete application scenario of robot assembly by using a Mitsubishi RV-4Fl robot. During the test, the students develop the skills required for the solution.
The learning process is supported by seven tasks which act as guidelines. The complexity of the tasks increases, beginning with the analysis of the components in the station up to professional modular programming, including comprehensive troubleshooting. When the students develop the solutions, they strictly use the method of the virtual learning environment. This means that they first establish their solutions on a 3D model, which they subsequently use for the real commissioning in a hardware environment. Doing so, they learn to adapt and optimize their solutions.

Smart Maintenance

This workbook combines the classical methods of maintenance with the new, intelligent possibilities of Smart Maintenance. For this purpose, each of the six chapters contains a complex task, with the help of which students can test their knowledge and develop practical skills:
